Every time I scroll through Instagram, it seems like I stumble on yet another person’s style to obsess over - the little quirks, the vintage-ness of it all, and the overall vibe. And if you’ve been subscribed to inside the fashionvrse for a while, you know I live for a good breakdown of people’s styles, whether it’s TV show characters (hey, Joan!) or influencers on my feed. Obviously, it wouldn’t be any fun if I didn’t drag you guys along for the ride.

This week kicks off a new series where I deep-dive into the style of my favourite fashionable people, one stylish person at a time. From what they wear to how they wear it, we’re pulling apart all the details that make their style so magnetic.

Disclaimer: Everyone should have their personal style but it’s okay to appreciate someone else’s and take a little inspiration. There’s also a lot that goes into a person’s style and I can’t possibly capture every single detail (we’d be here for ages), so these are just the standout callouts for me.

First Up: Eva Apio

Eva is a Ugandan model currently based in the UK who’s worked with brands like Louis Vuitton, Off White, Fendi and more. You probably know her from her outfit pictures on Instagram and if you don’t, well, you’re in the right place.

Her style centres around elevated streetwear, high-low fashion, and a model off-duty vibe. Eva strikes a great balance between luxury and streetwear, occasionally switching it up with glam and sophisticated looks. Whether she’s at a Casablanca show in Paris, on a brand trip in St. Tropez, or even sculpting those famous abs in the gym, Eva knows exactly how to serve a look in every scenario.

Tops/Jackets

Tank tops: In true elevated-casual fashion, Eva often wears white and black tank tops year- round. In winter, she layers them and in spring and summer, they’re the perfect simple base for the rest of her outfit. Depending on the vibe, she usually pairs these with denim jeans or sweatpants, nailing that off-duty model aesthetic.

Fur Jackets: Here’s where her streetwear edge shines again. Fur pieces nod to old-school hip hop but with a modern twist, especially when paired with fitted hats or designer bags. Personally, I find anyone who wears fur coats automatically radiates quiet confidence.

Anything with a Hood: Hoodies are great for staying warm. In colder months, Eva wears a lot of hooded pieces, often layering them under jackets for extra comfort. Bonus: hoods offer a bit of privacy when you’re stepping out and don’t feel like being fully seen.

Bottoms

Baggy Jeans: Very on-brand with streetwear and fashion’s current oversized obsession, Eva’s outfits often feature baggy jeans (mostly blue). They’re versatile; easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion. On her Instagram, extra style points if they’re ripped, have lettering, or are accessorised with a mini Chanel purse or chunky belt.

Jorts: Summer is here, and Eva’s rotation of jorts is strong. From embroidered pairs, to breezy white linen or simple brown versions, she transitions effortlessly into summer fits.

Denim Shorts/Skirts: Few things say “laidback summer classic” like mini denim shorts and skirts. (Okay, you could probably name at least three other contenders, but you get my point.) Eva balances casual and statement pieces well and the denim shorts give off a playful look. She’s also paired denim shorts with tall boots and oversized tees or hoodies for that perfect skin-to-coverage ratio.

Shoes

Sneakers: I can confidently say a large chunk of Eva’s following is low-key (or high-key) obsessed with her sneaker collection. From the Nike Off-White x Air Force 1s to the Off-White x Jordan 5 Muslin sneakers and Rick Owen high-tops, her lineup is one to marvel at.
Chanel Boots: When Eva pulls out the Chanel boots, she leans into timeless fashion. Paired with mini denim shorts, they channel that signature high-low fashion balance models do so well.

Baseball Hats: This ties in pretty-well with the effortless, laid-back vibe that defines so many of her outfits.

Jewellery : Eva rocks both gold and silver, and they’re very much statement jewellery. From the grills spelling out her name to the Chanel pearly belt accessory, it’s all very chef’s kiss. She’s also into longer necklaces (some trailing down her back) and body chains on holiday.

Extensive designer bag collection: The bag collection? Whew. Goyard, Miu Miu, Dior, Hermès, Chanel (of course), the list goes on and on. Eva’s bag game is stacked, and she switches them up frequently in her looks.
